Do I need to pre-rinse my dishes before loading them into the dishwasher?

Can I put my dishwasher tablet in the bottom of the dishwasher?
Place detergent tablets in the dispenser compartment. Putting them at the bottom may cause them to dissolve too early during the prewash, leaving no detergent for the main cycle and reducing wash efficiency
Do dishwasher tablets go out of date?
Dishwasher tablets last about two years, but avoid stockpiling as product and packaging can degrade. Using expired tablets won’t harm dishes or the dishwasher but may reduce cleaning effectiveness
